Time for Self Reflection
Time for Self Reflection was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period of uncertainty that unexpectedly brought life to a standstill. Having stepped away from my full-time work, I found myself with something I hadn't experienced in a long time: the permission to slow down.
For much of my life, my mind had always been focused on what came next - what I should be doing, where I should be going and what the next opportunity might be. The sudden pause created by the pandemic offered the space to reflect on where I had been, where I hoped to go and to quietly process the uncertainty unfolding around the world.
Photography became a way of embracing that slower pace. Rather than searching for answers, I found myself observing more closely, noticing moments that might otherwise have passed unnoticed. The photographs are not intended to document the pandemic itself, but the quieter state of mind it created a reminder that stepping back can change the way we see both the world around us and ourselves within it.
Time for Self Reflection is ultimately about the value of stillness. It is about allowing ourselves the permission to slow down, to be present and to reflect before deciding what comes next.
